He was a skilled artist, often sharing his digital paintings and Live2D animations – meticulously crafted characters that came to life with surprising expressiveness.  He was also infuriatingly private.  He never revealed anything personal, carefully avoiding any mention of his physical appearance or daily life.  That mystery was part of his charm, the unspoken challenge that fueled Hana’s curiosity.

Tonight, fueled by a potent mix of sake and youthful recklessness, Hana had decided to break through that barrier.  She knew the code to his apartment building – a careless slip of the tongue during one of their late-night gaming sessions.  It felt like a cheat code, unlocking a hidden level she wasn’t supposed to access.

She turned the knob. The door swung inward with a soft sigh, revealing a dimly lit room.  The air hung heavy with the scent of old books and something vaguely spicy – curry, perhaps?
